Alumina granulation powder is a powder material prepared from alumina as the main raw material. Alumina ceramic granulation powder has excellent flowability and maintains the original hardness of the alumina powder, which making it suitable for production because it can be tightly packed without bonding to each other when added to the material. Alumina ceramic granulation powder is a spray drying process to form a granular powder of alumina ceramic. And this practice is to make alumina ceramics more easily adaptable to the production process, being dry press molding or isostatic molding, greatly reducing its processing costs, and at the same time, effectively avoiding shattering during transportation.
In fact, granulation powder is a kind of pseudo-particle. For dry pressing forming, the raw material must be granulated and has very high requirements for particle size distribution and uniform filling, so the powder particles need to achieve the best free flow in the mold. As the current advanced ceramic production requires increasingly fine raw materials, in order to improve the flowability of the porcelain material, ultra-fine powder must be aggregated into pseudo-particles, i.e. granulation powder, within a controlled range, so as to fill the model uniformly to improve the molding density of the blank and ensure the sintering density after porcelain formation. The alumina particles prepared by spray granulation method have regular spherical and sphere-like structure, good particle gradation and normal distribution, high stack density, good fluidity of granulation powder in the mold cavity, good press forming and sintering, etc. The prepared particles can produce high quality ceramic products.
